United We Stand

This book is a vision of a true democracy based upon the principle that “all people are created equal.” At the time of the establishment of the U.S. constitution, Blacks were living in slavery and women were not entitled to a vote. Struggles within the United States continue to be struggles for equal rights and treatment in spite of many attempts to change the power structures. This author helps us envision a true democracy based upon a belief and perception that all people are equal and all are entitled to quality education, food, and healthcare, and a safe and loving environment. These are to be considered entitlements because without them people are not free to develop and contribute their talents for the benefit of society.
